Uisneach II

An ancient ceremonial protected national site in Co Westmeath provides the inspiration for a new series of atmospheric work to be explored and challenged in different mediums. Deemed to be a symbolic and sacred centre of Ireland it is steeped with history so provides an emotional connection to the land from which to work.

On a clear day from the panoramic viewpoint, 20 of Ireland’s counties can be seen. The side incorporates a tomb, burial mounds and closures, standing stones, holy wells, and even a medieval mood.
