Rosemarie Langtry is a contemporary visual artist living in Ballinahown, Athlone, Co. Westmeath and recently moved her studio to the community hall in Ballinahown where she works painting mainly in encaustic. She has recently graduated in Fine Art from GMIT and has a certificate in Community Art Development from NUI Maynooth. In 2013 Langtry participated in Engaged, a group show in the Luan Gallery, Athlone. Her work was selected for VISUAL, Carlow, as part of Eigse 2014 curated by Martin Gale and Rachel Joynt and the Galway Fringe Festival open submission 2014 and 2015. Rosemarie has recently completed a residency at Cill Rialaig, County Kerry. Langtry’s work is included in the State Art Collection.

Rosemarie attended the 9thInternational encaustic conference in Provincetown, Massachusetts in June 2015 and had work included in the juried show Minimal/ maximum

In 2016 she has been awarded a scholarship to the 10thInternational encaustic conference and has a piece of her work selected for its juried show .Rosemarie has exhibited in many group shows and 3 solo exhibitions during 2015. Her design has been selected to be part of the Jack and Jill Children’s foundation arts initiative Hares on the March. Rosemarie works within the community, facilitating art classes for children, women's groups and active retirement groups.
